Causes

The OSU chapter of Habitat for Humanity is one of the largest student-run organizations on campus. The club offers a plethora of opportunities for involvement both at OSU and off campus in the Columbus area. Championing the development of fundraising skills, construction experience, and community development, they offer students many ways to get involved in many different areas.

The Denman Research Forum is an annual competition held at OSU's central Columbus campus to showcase the research done by undergraduates students. Competition is brought in categories from engineering to entomology. Every year the event grows exponentially, but funding does not always follow the same trend. Research is a cornerstone of the best and most competitive schools in the country, and is an invaluable pursuit in the development of future Buckeye leaders.

The Global Health Initiative at OSU is a student group dedicated to increasing awareness and providing educational opportunities related to global health issues. We also volunteer within the Columbus community and abroad through the Foundation for International Medical Relief. Some of the issues that we focus on are the impact of infectious diseases in the developing world; international public health issues; economic development and global health policy; and health care in the Columbus area.
Support Goals

All proceeds go toward:
  • Building a Habitat House on campus where all students can help do everything from frame walls to shingle a roof.
  • Helping make the Denman Research Forum possible every year to showcase the scientific research talent of undergraduate students.
  • Supporting OSU students committing their time to medical relief aid in Costa Rica and in the Ohio community.

We are working on detailed plans and goals for the funding of these three projects. When these reports are completed, they will be posted at redoutfoundation.org.
