The RedoutCampaign is an effort to demonstrate the power of student creativity, advertise our core values, and provide large-scale funding for several deserving studentdriven projects.
The campaign’s lead off project is a T-shirt sale. Working with graphic design artists and T-shirt distributors we have developed a simple yet powerful T-shirt design in the spirit of the O-H-I-O movement which appeals to both students and the Buckeye community.
With the support of agents both on and off campus, we have the cost of printing the T-shirts paid for. In the coming weeks we will set up points of donation at high-traffic areas on campus during the week and on game-days, asking a minimum $10 donation to our organization in order to recieve a shirt.
Some student-oriented initiatives we are currently working with include Habitat for Humanity at OSU, The Denman Research Forum, and The Global Health Initiative.
The redoutbooks.org project is already up and running. With minimal market advertising, we have already been generating regular donations on the site. Both redoutbooks.com and redoutbooks.org redirect to the same site. Give it a try!
The site is already a great way for students to shop smart and compare prices on textbooks while part of each purchase is donated back to OSU students.
Our future plans are to expand our affiliations to stores like Overstock.com, Half.com, and Abebooks.com.
Exciting corporate partnerships are in the works to provide more creative avenues for fundraising, and will debut on the website.
